Dr. Jeff Bassin
Dr. Jeff Bassin completed his dental training at the University of Pennsylvania in 1970 with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Following two years in the United States Air Force as a general dentist, he completed his Orthodontic residency at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, receiving a Certificate in Orthodontics in 1973. Dr. Jeff has practiced in both Oneida and Norwich since 1974. He is very committed to his profession, taking numerous continuing education courses always striving to bring the best technology to his patients.
Dr. Bassin is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, and is currently serving as secretary/treasurer of the New York State Society of Orthodontists.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Jeff enjoys skiing, scuba diving, and is an avid bicyclist riding several thousand miles each year. Dr. Jeff and his wife Lynda have two children, Daniel and Wendy. Wendy teaches and lives in New York City.
Dr. Timothy Hession
Dr. Timothy Hession completed his dental training at the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1980. He completed his masters degree and certification in Orthodontics in 1982 at the University of Iowa. Between 1982 and 1985 he served as a Chief of Orthodontics at the Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska. He joined Bassin and Hession Orthodontics in 1986.
Dr. Hession is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, and a fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontists. He has served as the President of the Madison County Dental Society and the President of the Fifth District Dental Society for the State of New York. He has served as an alternate delegate for the American Dental Association and currently serves on the Council on Governmental Affairs for the New York State Dental Association
Outside the office Dr. Hession enjoys spending time with his family, music, theater and sports. Dr. Hession and his wife, Suzanne, have three children - Rebecca, an English teacher at Eagle Hill Middle School in Manlius, New York; Richard, an eighth grade Science teacher for Teach for America in Houston; and Tim, a Vocal Performance Major at the University of the Arts. They also have three Shelties, two cats, and two Newfoundland granddogs.
Dr. Daniel T. Bassin
Dr. Daniel Bassin completed his dental training at the University of Pennsylvania in 1996. In 1997 he completed his General Practice Residency at SUNY Health Science Center in Syracuse, and the year after began his orthodontic residency at Tufts University. Upon completion of his specialty training he joined Bassin & Hession Orthodontics in 1999.
Dr. Bassin is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Bassin is the President of the Madison County Dental Society.
In his spare time he enjoys golf and spending time with his daughter Kate.
